My first year in
That night at the concert, Melody, Lydeea, and Harmony go back stage to see the Jonas Brothers. Nick looks sad and sits all alone while Kevin and Joe are talking.
Melody: Hi guys!
Kevin and Joe: Hi!
Nick (in a sad tone): Hey.
Melody: Nick, what’s wrong?
Nick: Nothing.
Lydeea: Don’t say “nothing.” We all know you well enough to know it’s something.
Harmony: Yeah, and you and Melody have been dating for a long time.
Nick: It’s nothing, really.
Melody: Well, if you insist.
Joe: Are you girls ready for the concert?
Melody, Lydeea, and Harmony: Yes!
Kevin: You nervous?
Harmony: No.
Lydeea: You?
Nick gets up and walks out of the room. Melody gets a funny look on her face and turns to Kevin and Joe.
Melody: What’s wrong with him?
Joe: We don’t know.
Kevin: H’s been that way for a long time.
Melody: Well I hope he doesn’t stay like that for a long time because it makes me sad to know that he’s sad.
Lydeea: Hey, those would be good lyrics for a song.
Harmony: Lydeea!
Lydeea: What? I was just trying to lighten things up.
Joe: You know, those would be good.
Lydeea: Thank you.
Kevin: Is there something we can do to help him? After all, we are his brothers.
Melody: No. If he won’t tell us what’s wrong, then we can’t help him. Let’s just go and do the concert and have fun!
Everyone: Okay!
The Jonas Brothers go on stage. Nick tries to put a smile on his face, but Melody knows something is wrong.
Joe: How’s everybody doing tonight?
Crowd: Good!
Kevin: Are you ready for this?
Crowd: Yes!
Nick: Then let’s get started!
The Jonas Brothers perform Year 3000. The Jonas Brothers just finished performing Year 3000 and the crowd applauses. Melody, Lydeea, and Harmony get ready to sing.
Melody (to the crowd): This next song was inspired by two of my friends and a stuffed bear.
The crowd laughs. Once the laughter dies down, Melody continues.
Melody: So here to help me sing this song are my bffs, Lydeea and Harmony!
Crowd: Yeah!
Melody, Lydeea, and Harmony perform Best of Friends Until the Very End. The concert continues with the Jonas Brothers and Melody, Lydeea, and Harmony taking turns performing. The concert is almost over. Melody is about to sing one last song.
Melody: This last song I wrote for my wonderful boyfriend.
Crowd: Aw!
Melody: So here it is!

Nick cries.

Nick: I’m breaking up with you.
